I spy with my little eye... a full tank of vitamins.

Comptoir 102 is a little island of frenchness on Jumeirah beach road (hello motherland!). The offer of the shop is ecclectic: interior design pieces, china, jewellery, fashion accessories... the selection is tasteful, the place is peaceful, it feels like being in the South of France minus the sheep and singing accent.
A few days ago I decided to try their macrobiotic cafe. The shop is quite pricey (nobody said french taste was cheap), so I was surprised in a good way when I discovered that the restaurant's prices were very reasonnable. The macrobiotic menu has been studied to ease digestion a maximum and is not based on french recipes. Lots of veggies, gluten-free, and so many vitamins it's indecent! To be honest the portions are not huge (remember we're in France, not the USA), but it was perfect for me and I even struggled to finish my main course. Therefore I can't say anything about the deserts, I will have to come back to try them (already making excuses to go back). My lunch was fresh, simple, tasty and well balanced. A winning combo, perfect to start a week-end day and head to the beach a few meters away.
Merci la France!
