I spy with my little eye... Art Deco whelks.

Montmartre is full of amazing restaurants, one of my favourite spots, the one I always stop by for a glass of wine on the terrasse when I want to catch up with my friends living in the neighbourhood is La Mascotte. Created in 1889, La Mascotte initially was part of a hotel named Le Pompéa where Edith Piaf stayed in the 1930's. The hotel disappeared but the restaurant remained with a very strong Art Deco design and a real Parisian vibe. You will bump into all sorts of actors, creative minds, artists, and "titi parisiens" (archetype of the loud big mouth Parisian). Whelks and oysters will usually happen on the table with bubbly!
